Two female students were suspended by Adair County High School for three days for coming into school on Halloween dressed as Columbine killers, Eric Harris, and Dylan Klebold. These columbiners even went as far as to emulate the death poses of their cowardly heroes in the school’s library as shown above.
Whenever something like this pops up I always have to ask where are the parents? Well, the local news articles were happy to oblige this time…
A father of one of the girls said the girls know they made a mistake but the school “blew the whole situation out of proportion.” He also told LEX 18 the girls have received death threats.
While I never support the idea of death threats of any kind, this would not have been my reaction if I had children that did something so amazingly stupid as this. From what I’ve read this was not blown out of proportion at all, as a matter of fact, if the school had any cojones these two girls should have been expelled for creating an unsafe climate within the school. If either of these girls were my daughter I would immediately take her to get the mental healthcare that she so obviously needs and not just blow it off like she egged someone’s house.
Too much parental apathy and the ‘Not My Kid’ syndrome are what lead these anti-social miscreants to become mass murderers.
